6'2" channel twin squash tail.  I shaped this board 3 years ago and never glassed it. Got help this month and knocked it out.  Too much going on.  Dims are 6'2" x 20.5" x 2.5"

Not sure what fins I'll like best, so threw in some plastic Futures T1 fins.

Poly board glassed/hot coated with Sun Cure by my buddy and master glasser Michael Hague.  The trick to glassing the channels it to hit the shaped blank with just a tiny TINY bit of spray on adhesive.  Just a lightest dusting.  Then lay the dry cloth in, press into the channels and the adhesive holds it down and won't let it shift or lift as you laminate the board. If the wetted cloth starts lifting out of the channels as you wrap the rails and pull it tight, your lamination just went into the ditch.

Read an article about these guys a few days ago. And since I was a crash test dummy during the introduction of the "Epoxy Era", and I hated pretty much every shortboard made of that material, I am not opposed to thinking about alternative materials for bigger boards.

Anyway, this article talks about the boards, but it is a different story than the one I read. This dude was in Spain and they had a HUGE sargassium algae. It had gotten so bad that I guess when it starts to decompose on the beach, it let's out toxic gases. Animals and people were dying, so the locals were trying to figure out how to dispose of it. This guy took some and started making soap and wax with it... And eventually got a commerical 3d printer and started making surfboards out of the Algae..... Boards look cool as shit... But, I would have my reservations about how a board made of that shit would handle in the surf. Especially a shortboard. I would be interested in maybe a mid length or an LB...

But anyway, cool story. Thought I would share.

They should come to FL when there's steady onshore winds for days, they'll get all the Sargarassum they can handle, and then some! HAHAHA

5'9" winter-sized mini simmons.  I still love these boards, and while they are at their best really short, I struggle with the 5'4" - 5'7" ones I have in winter rubber.  This one is 5'9" x 23" x 2 5/8".  No idea on liters, but I'd guess 38 ish.  It's meant for fun soft thigh to stomach high waves in full 5 mil head to toe rubber.  relaxed rocker, bit of chine on one the forward rails to keep it from hanging up, substantial rolled vee out the back to hopefully make it turn reasonable well.  It's poly blank, with neon yellow to aqua rail spray, epoxy glassing.

It's a real tanker, but it will hopefully ride a bit more gracefully than that outline looks.
