That was waaaay more fun than I expected.  1st sandbar was actually punchy at times.  Crowded AF.  My tractor beam was even activated.  Walls of people parkin in my way.  I still found a shitload of quick little knee high zippys.  Didn't hit nobody.  Came close.

Oh, SHIT!  Flipper and a bud came within 10ft of me.  Medium size fins.  They just popped up, cruised right by me, and swam off.  They were side by side almost touchin.  Close as shit to me.  I called em back, but reckon they went off chasin lunch.  Lotta fishies around.

Worked some more on the womp stroke kinda butterfly take-off.  Probably scored at least 5 waves that way.  Hadda flutter kick my way into several others.  Swimmin in waves.  Got rolled a time or two on some iffy decisions.  Head fulla water.  Pourin out anywhere it could.  🤣

All in all, a really dang nice summertime TGIF kinda day.  I'm actually pretty tired after only 90min.  Usually takes me over 2hrs to get this wore out.   ☮️🌴🌊🐬🌊😎🤙

Just finished the yard work before it's 147° outside.  Probably gonna go play again today.  Big crowd for the pups.  Fulbright sez it's OH for a dog.  For me too.  Haha 

Another pretty fun knee-high summer day in G-Town.  Sandbar still poppin at times.  More crowded than yesterday.  I really hadda move around.  Came in and walked a block down the beach once.  I literally couldn't fit between the people in some clusters.  Regardless, I caught a shit ton of waves.  After that...  Got a wild hair to coach a coupla maybe 20yr old girls on boogies that were just whiffin on everything.  Take off right here just before the boom.  Wait for the right one.  I hollered GO!  They both caught it, bouncin up and down in the suds.  One lost her board.  Told her gotta hang onto it.  They're both big ol grinnin.  My go home wave for today... One of my better waves, too...  We're all in position about 5ft apart...  Perfect thumper approaches...  We hadn't took the same wave yet.  I'd show em, then they'd try.  I holler GO!!!  We all takeoff...  After I landed and the white water caught up to me... look over to my left... they're both still there... all 3 of us hootin... Told em they got it now.  Y'all have fun.  I'm goin home.  Them girls were sooo happy.  I can tell when people's thank yous are for real.  Great go home wave.  I remember sometimes that people like them two girls might only get a coupla hours to score a wave before they go back to wherever.  I hate thinkin they woulda missed out on that experience.   ☮️🌴🌊🐬🌊😎🤙

Life is gOOde. 

Glad I went the last 2 days.  It's technically not flat, but close enough to round it off.  Don't see the boats fishin yet, but suspect that's comin.

So we got some decent body surfing in Saturday, but yesterday, during our surf session, I was out with my son and I didn't have a board at first, and I kept feeling sea grass wrapping up around my ankles as the undertow was pulling in and out. And at one point, something stung the FUCK out of my right foot. It wrapped across the whole top of my foot and I had to yank it back. So I warned my son and told him a jelly just got me badly. But it couldn't have been a cannonball jelly, it had tentacles of some kind. Man-o-war? I couldn't see it. So after that, he was walking out and telling me he could feel the seaweed around his feet. I told him to try and knock it off if he could because something in there stung me.... Anyway, he takes a right, pumps down the line and his fins hit the sand so when he jumped off, he rolled sideways on his side. So I come in to check on him, then I notice his whole right ankle is swollen as fuck. Mind you, he is super sensitive to stings of any kind. Mosquitos leave baseball sized welts on him. A bee stung had us take him to the hospital... He is sensitive big time to that. So he wants to take a break. I am like, let's just chill on the beach for a minute, drink some water. Then he is like "Okay, let's just go swim and body surf now"... So we went out for like 45 minutes, and it was PERFECT body surfing conditions. It was high tide, coming down a bit and right where the waves were bowling up and breaking was about waist-chest deep for me, so when a set would come, the boy would follow me and I would stand right in the pocket and "jump" into the wave face, right as it was breaking and I was rocketing all the way in, every time. I went left and right a couple of times and even got a little barrel. On one way, my son ended up going further than me and he was stoked like "I went further than you daddy" haha....

But it was great times. Ideal body surfing for sure. So fun. And neither of us got stung again. The stings don't phase me at all. You couldn't even tell I got hit.  But the boy was still a little swollen last night, like 8 hours later. 

Ok.  I'm outa the hype train tread now.  There was some normal windchoppe Bertha leftovers yesterday, but I passed.  The night before musta took a little energy outa me, plus I was pretty busy.  Looks like workable knee high today.  Probably 147° outside this afternoon, so won't need the 3/2.  🤣

Fun summer day in the kneechoppe.  Lotta people, but most of em were away from me.  No real power out there, but I caught a shitload of em.  Still mixin the womp stroke takeoffs in occasionally.  No camera today.  I don't really like bein out in a mob tryna take pics.  ☮️🌴🌊🐬🌊😎🤙

Today's gonna be a coin flip.  Maybe what we consider worth it depends on our proximity.  I probably wouldn't book a last minute aeroplane flight for today's surf.  If the beach was my front yard, that's different.  Hope y'all find some.  😎🤞

Worth it.  Same as yesterday.  Knee high halfway clean summertime surf.  Again, no real power, but definitely enough to play around on if you didn't mind an occasional cat nap.  I'll take it in July.  ☮️🌴🌊🐬🌊😎🤙

It ain't technically FLAT, but it's pretty dang close.  Glad I went the past few days. 😏

My surfing weekend was a bust. The tides were all fucked up. High tide before sunrise, then the second high tide right before sunset. Evening electrical storms did me in. But I got a lot of shit done around the house, got my truck serviced. Put new wheels and a carb on the boys dirt bike.... Then my daughter had 6 other teenage girls over for a sleepover.... Wild weekend with a house full of teens....

Surfing was skunked, but I will get on it at some point this week. 

The surf crept back up to occasional borderline rideable, so I went.  Repeat of the last few times.  Knee high on the cleanup sets.  Hot sunny summer day with enough surf so I didn't fall asleep.  Some waves were a test of my ability to hook onto so little oomph.  Be the wave...  😏

Still got some summer kneechoppe.  Might even be a tad bigger'n yesterday.  😏

It's been right on the edge of workable lately.  Looks like nada at first, then enough comes through to make you say I shoulda been out there for that.  Coulda scored.  So, it's kinda go every udder day.  Went 2 days ago, and cleaned windows yesterday.  Probably give'r a shot today.  😎🤞

Not a lotta speed lately.  Mostly summertime gliders.  Haha

The windchoppe turned up a notch. They went to red flag around 3pm.  I'll say knee to waist with major sideways current.  Waves were comin in on like a 30° angle at times.  I came in and walked a block up the beach twice in an hour.  Got tired of walkin backwards into that river.  It literally looked like when I lived by the Mississippi River when I was dryin off afterwards up on the Seawall.  Water flowin right to left.  It was ugly but had more guts than our recent gliders.  ☮️🌴🌊🐬🌊😎🤙
