I decided to check swellinfo for any news and saw your post. So, it worked for one person so far. Wonder what happened? I was jokin around with myself that someone pissed you off, then this happened.
At first some kinda admin page came up sayin contact so and so if you own this site. Days later, it's showin a 502 bad gateway page. So, somethin changed. Whois says it's still registered thru GoDaddy, not expired, etc. Kinda weird.

@barrycuda What's up Barry. Glad to see you bro. If you have contact info for anyone else from mostoke/SI, let them know that we at least have something happening over here. Like I said, not sure what the intentions are over at mostoke, but I was locked out of there for like 3 months about a year ago because of technical site issues. And they have been dark over there for over a month. Not sure what the deal is.
@zachdrescher at this time I no longer thave contact info, at all. Unfortunately. I will drop in every once in a while to see what transpires- would be nice to get the mistake back, but I suspect that the overseeing company found it no longer worthwhile to support the handful of us taht still visited the site. But, who knows - that is just my guess....hang in there.
@barrycuda Sounds good brother. Keep in touch. swellinfo was more depressing than ever when I logged in. I was the first person that made a post in over a year. The forecasts still don't work. What a shame...
At any rate, it is also true that surfer magazine and surfing magazine shut down their forums permanently because of people talking crazy political nonsense, so there is are truly no forums left unless you want to talk to the dudes from OZ, whom I can barely understand.
Anyway, I installed this forum years ago, but never made it public. This site is really just used by me and the local guys around here. But, it will not go anywhere. I pay for it. I host it. I write the code etc....
So, this can be a safe place until the mothership returns, or at least a spot to check in if something goes down.
Whats up IBC? Good to see you. I wasn't sure how to shine the bat symbol up to anyone from Mostoke, so I figured swellinfo would be my best bet.
I am not sure what happened. I think DP is the main admin for mostoke, but I don't have his personal info. Basically, it looks like the hosting part of the site was not renewed or something. The mostoke.com domain is paid through 2027, but it appears that the data/hosting part went down. It's been so many weeks, I am unsure of what the intentions are.
At any rate, I put this forum up on this site years ago, just in case I would ever need to use it.
So for now, if you have contact info on any of the other mostokers, please spread the word and we can at least use this for now....

Oh, and IBC, another thing I will do is put together a Galveston surf forecast page on here. The way I currently have things setup on here, it has everything in the South East from Miami up to Southern OBX.... Hence the "South East Surf" part.... But within a week or so, I can add your area and put together forecast pages for VA/MD/Jersey/NY And NH For ol' Barry.
This is just a test for uploading images to make sure I installed the script correctly.

The only person that I "think I found on facebook is "Mitch". His name is not actually mitch. He came out to San Diego and we surfed Blacks together, but that was 20+ years ago, so based on his photo, I think I found him on the Ocean City Maryland page, because he posts the same photos there... I friend requested him, but he has yet to reply.
So when things clear up, I will probably make a thread so we can throw out social media contact info or email addresses or something.
Looks like Mostoke.com is still being restored. Still got this page up.

My granddaughter has been competing in gymnastics last couple of years - she made it to the Rgionals (2nd place awards) and now she travels with Mom to Orlando for Nationals (age appropriate competition). So I decided to treat my ladies to 3 days at Disney!! Yup, I know it will one hot, but we will deal with it!!

Didn't he also think that Kelly Slater and some other pro surfers were actually lizard people? Or was that the other crazy guy, more recently, that argued that the world was flat all the time. Can't remember.

DP contacted me a few weeks ago to let me know the MoStoke forum would be down. By chance I stumbled into the old Swell Info forum and saw Zach's post that mentioned this place. I told DP about it and he tried to register here but seemed to have some issue that prevented him from doing so. I know he wants to get in touch with as many as possible. I just now registered without issue.
I wanted to PM Zach but I don't see a way to do that. So I got Justin's email: DawnPatrol321@gmail.com (probably could have guessed that one!) and y'all can get him there. Hopefully Zach can remedy his registration woes.

That said, I installed this forum years ago, and it's the "basic" versions, so I tweaked it the best I could so far. There were a bunch of BOTS that were making random posts, so I increased security somewhat and the BOTS went away. All I did was require a "Captcha" kind of deal...
Anyway, all of that said, I am more than happy to upgrade this forum to the "pro" version that allows multiple image posts and a lot more bells and whistles, but before doing so, I just wanted to make sure we had some users to make it worth it....

SO, I just emailed DP to try and get to the bottom of his registration issues. I modified some of the settings and removed the "email confirmation" part, so now, as soon as you register, you should be an active member automatically. Everything else seemed okay. At least DP and I both have each other's emails, so we shall wait and see.
Okay gents, DP and I just connected via email. I got his credentials and password sorted out, I think, so shortly, I think we will be hearing from DP..... Stay tuned.
