Yeah, watching the Raven's game live, I thought the 4th quarter was over. But upon the replay, as soon as the ball left Lamar's hands, he was in the refs face making the timeout signal. So, when Zay caught the ball, there was 2 seconds, by the time he was touched and his knee made contact the the ground, the clock had JUST struck 1, so there was a full second on the clock when Zay went down. So, more than anything, it was a heads up play by Lamar, because Zay wasn't making any kind of timeout call.
Again, I thought it was over, but when they did the replay, and they showed all of the clocks on the screen, not some hidden clock in another state, Al La the Michigan game.... So, once they showed it again, I was like hot damn, they legit pulled off the time out...
So typically, that is the type of shit that happens to the Ravens every damn time. Some bullshit like this, and normally, Dallas would have scored on their final drive and left us 14 seconds to drive the length of the field and score a touchdown with one timeout left....
So, for once, I will take a little luck on our side. But at the end of the day, Lamar got the TO called and it all worked out.
That was the only time in NFL history that two teams scored in the final 10 seconds of a game. It was also Lamar's first come back victory of his career, when down in the final minute of a game. That state shocked me. I couldn't believe that in 7-8 years or whatever it is, that Lamar hasn't come back and won on a final drive like that. Seems like he has done it many times, but I guess the data shows otherwise.
So, I am usually critical of Lamar in situations like this, because I am more than half convinced that Lamar cannot read and shit like that. But oh well, he made a heads up play. Nice.
Oh, shit. UTMB.
I just remembered the time I was paintin stripes with the concrete / asphalt company. Owner knew the head of UTMB maintenance. Needed a bid to file away for reference purposes. Paint everything UTMB has in Galveston. Multiple parking garages, lots everywhere, curbs, a zillion stencils for wheelchair spots, etc. I was handed a stack of like 20 full size blueprints of everything. Dude's business card in case people were wonderin WTF I was doin. Worked a full 40hr week countin stripes, walkin curbs with the measurin wheel, everything. Very last parkin lot on very last day... Sunday like 2pm way out where NOBODY was... Here they come. Like 5 Popo units surrounded me. Hood lights on. I'm out there with a notepad countin stripes. I splained who I was, and that I wasn't a threat to society. They all smiled, shook my hand and drove off... after a few tense minutes. My version of Alice's Restaurant Massacree, but nobody got arrested.
So, yeah. UTMB is freakin GINORMOUS.
I was in a white construction pickup truck with strobe flashers on and cones in the back. Broad daylight. Not 2am in a ninja suit. 🤣
Last one... They even got a helicopter pad with a like 8ft wide custom Longhorn stencil in their burnt orange in the center. Told boss maybe they still got that in a warehouse. Or somebody else has to paint that. Haha
My college foosball highlight of the weekend. That's some football stuff right there. 🤣👍

GO NOLES! They put a nice little beat down on Virginia, 38-7, sweet revenge for last year when they knocked us off right after smacking Alabama around. Damn that felt good. And to make it even sweeter, the Gators got ran through by Mizzou! 45-17 🤣 .
On to the NFL, the Raiders had every opportunity to move to 4-0, they played a good game against the Chiefs, until the end when the special teams blew it, and the defense gave up two TD's back to back in a matter of seconds, coming off the nasty ankle / leg injury to the Chiefs receiver, probably snapped it, looked gnar. After that it was like we let them win. I don't understand it. But maybe seeing that ankle / leg just took their momentum and energy away. The pause in gameplay didn't help them. Cheifs on the otherhand were playing for their boy, so naturally they get that warrior mentality and finish the deal, when the Raiders COULD HAVE put their foot on their throats and taken the victory, with no remorse, but that didn't happen, and I was dissapointed in that, but hey, they are 3-1 and had the Chiefs on the ropes, so they are right there, now they just need that Championship mentality where they don't let off the gas until they are off that field. I think Cousins played really well, I see why he is the starter and the young gun is learning from him. Dude still has it clearly, "YOU LIKE THAT!?" 😎
Yeah man. I went into that Raiders game like this: The Raiders played a good game and certainly could have won that game. But as long as Vegas made the game close and competitive, I was ready to crown the Raiders as a competent team in the NFL this year. So, even though they lost, it was a good game. They played well and they had opportunities to win. Only one team was coming off that game at 4-0, and the book makers had that being the Chiefs, and they were right.
But, there are only a couple of 4-0 teams left in the NFL, so 3-1 is not a bad spot to be in.
So, on to the Ravens:
- Trey Hendrickson was out due to a hand injury
- JaKobe Lane was also out on IR
- Ronnie Stanley was back off a toe injury
We lost:
- Lamar Jackson for the entire second half. There was really no mention of the ankle injury during play, but when the team took the field in the second half and Snoop Huntley was on the field, I think every Raven's fan had a collective: WTF moment.
- Marlon Humphrey left the game with a calf injury
- Andrew Vorhees (Guard) left the game with a foot injury
Now, remember, we lost ALL THREE of our centers this year, and we moved our rookie guard to center last week, and had to run him again this week. The plan was only to do this for one week, then move him back to RG. But now, we are missing our starting RG, so he has to stay at center and we are looking for another guard. So now, we are down to a 4th string center and a 2nd string guard... Ouch...
Then, Durham Smythe left the game with a bad looking achilles.....
All of that said: The Raven's didn't score in the second half. They just played conservative ball. We just burned the clock, and made sure not to lose the game. I hate when we have to resort to that, but with so many players out, we had to just mitigate the disasters and make it out of the bank alive....
Also, Lamar had an almost perfect passer rating and put up and entire game line of stats in one half. Home boy had 225 yards and 2 TDs in one half... Not bad Lamar... Not bad....
So, the good:
- Browns beat the Steelers. Both teams were 2-1 going into the week, and I still feel that the Steelers are always a threat to the Raven's and always a threat to make the post season, so in that matchup, I was rooting for the Browns. I think the Brown's are a "cute story" and all of that, but I don't see them as a real threat to anyone, so I am okay with them taking out the Steelers any and every time they play.
- Jags beat the Bengals, with a game sealing pick from Joe Burrow to end his comeback attempt in the final moments. That was great, because the Bengals are #2 in the AFC North, IMO, so a loss for them always bodes well.
So, Ravens and Browns are atop the AFC North at 3-1 and the Steelers and Bengals are right behind us at 2-2.
- The Redskins lose their backup QB in the opening drive, I mean, WTF? These guys can't fucking win.
- The Cowboys beat the Texans... Houston is now 0-4... Bye bye season... See you boys later. Fuck you and fuck your phony ass defense... The funniest part of the Cowboy's win was the post game from their head coach... He talked about how good the Texan's Defense was, but on that day, THE COWBOY'S DEFENSE ARE THE ONES THAT SHOWED UP AND SHOWED OUT!!! Now, that was a cool thing to SAY and the locker room blew up when he said it... But just remember: The Cowboy's defense gave up over 400+ yards of offense to the lowly Texan's, so anyone from Dallas talking up their defense needs to give that Johnny Blue back to Jerry and get their head out of their asses.
- Bucs lose to the Packers. The PACKERS SUCK. They are awful. They couldn't run a dishwasher. Bucs are toast. Baker's last stand must have already happened. Now we have to watch him slowly fade into irrelevance. I bet Tampa is kicking themselves in the ass for paying Baker now... Yikes.
- Eagles: Look so bad right now... They looked so lost on that final drive/attempted comeback.... Barkley can't move the ball. Hurts looks mad at the world, and like he hates his coaching staff. Maybe AJ Brown was right all those years. Eagles are in some serious trouble... They are NOT making the playoffs.
- I hate the Patriots, but I don't like the Bills. The Bills and the Chiefs are the single largest threat to the Raven's and a potential run in the AFC, so any time the Chiefs or the Bills have an opportunity to lose, I am all for it.... Would seeing the Patriots at 1-3 made me smile? yes. Absolutely. But seeing Buffalo at 4-0 would have outweighed that joy 10 fold.....
So, the Bills are back to 3-1 with the rest of us, and The Patriots might be able to recoup their season. But fuck the Bills and fuck Josh Allen. He played like shit in the second half, and it is HIS fault that they lost. So everyone needs to take their hands off of Josh Allen's ball sack, put his short and curlys back in his pants and get off that man's junk.... He is not Joe Fucking Montana. Fuck that dude. Straight up. Lamar has had more success in the league that Allen his whole career. Yet the entire world and everyone with a Mic talks shit about Lamar and not winning a superbowl and this and that... Meanwhile, Josh Allen gets his ass eliminated from the playoff in spectacular fashion, year in and year out... Get off that man's dick.
- Bears/Jets: Bears won.... Who cares about this game?
- 49ers beat the Broncos... Again, I am calling a spade a spade and pointing out that Denver played the second easiest schedule in 50 years, only behind the Pat's last year.... So I don't care about them, their defense, their coach, or Bo Nix.... Bo Nix is a bad QB. Period. He is NOT god. In any way. I don't care that he has made a few comebacks late in games. That only happens because you suck at throwing a football and you spend 3 quarters playing so poorly that there is only one other way to play, and that is better.... So, forgive me for not being impressed with your 8 comeback wins last year. Or you 10 wins by less than 3 points, or any other metric that points to the fact that you do NOT have a sustainable system in place.... Fuck Denver... Losers.
- Chargers: 0-4. Your season is over. You have been the most over-rated team for the past 5 years in the NFL. So, let's just look at it like this: Justin Herbert is NOT what Jim Harbaugh claims he is.... Justin Herbert is simply: A mediocre to poor NFL QB. I don't care what his girlfriend looks like. I don't care if he can throw the ball 75 yards in the air... I don't care that he banks at SoFi..... The Chargers have been losers my whole life. They were losers when I lived in San Diego, and I spent 10 years watching Phillip Rivers run for his life and try and mount a comeback with a 7 point deficit and 40 seconds left in the game with no time outs... That is ALWAYS what the Chargers are....
And also, let's just remember: Jim Harbaugh is a fucking cheater. Straight up. He is a piece of shit at the end of the day. Nothing like his brother.... You went to SF, you did OKAY. Your brother Jim FUCKED YOU UP in a super bowl, and the Vegas Mob had to kill the power to the entire city of New Orlean's to stop the 25 point blowout that was happening...
Then you go to Michigan, you steal signals, you tape practices, you steal playbooks, you pay spies, you do all this shit.... You WIN a national title, the year you get caught cheating. You get banned from the NCAA for like 20 years or some shit... Then you slide back into the NFL with the Chargers and you are somehow going to win a super bowl. Fuck you Jim Harbaugh. You are a cheater. You are a scum bag, and your Khaki's are gay.... Deal with it... And you can't marry Justin Herbert you creepy old fuck, so stop talking about his biceps and how the sweat glistens off of his brow at practice....
And now to the Panthers/Lions game.... So, let me say this: I think most of us liked Dan Campbell about 5 years ago. A man's man. A player's coach. A tough guy. Great speaker. Great sound bites. Detroit is the most blue collar of blue collar cities. They have been losing our entire lives. Every Thanksgiving since the beginning of time has featured the Lions getting destroyed by some other NFC North team.... But no one hates Detroit. Everyone feels bad for them. They are easy to root for.....
And the Panthers are well, a small market team, that aside from Cam's SB run, have never experienced real relevancy. They are stuck between a #1 QB and not knowing if they have a QB.... They had a fire sale a couple of years back..... Carolina is my "local team" where I live, so I support them in a weird way.....
But here is the crazy part. Last year, I think Bryce Young had a solid year. He proved that he "might" be a franchise QB and stuff. Still a lot of questions about his size, skillset set...
So, coming into the weekend, I had NO IDEA that Bryce Young leads the NFL in passing yards. Let me say that again. Bryce Young led the NFL in passing yards through 3 weeks. Let that sink in....
And yesterday, what did he do? He goes 29-41 for 329 yards, 2 TDs and no turnovers....
I mean, that is a legit stat line, and through 4 weeks, the Carolina Panther's have the most high flying offense in the league... Who would have ever quessed it...
So, the question for the past 1-2 years has been: Has the Lion's superbowl window closed? Well, the answer is now a resounding YES. It's over. They had a shot 2-3 years ago... Now, they are just another middle of the road team that people don't want to have to face at home in Detroit. They have become nothing more than a scheduling "speed bump"...
So, move over Detroit Lions, you lost your seat on the superbowl or bust bus. You guys got left at the last stop, because you are washed up and done for. Now, the shiny new thing in the NFL, as far as "likeable teams that nobody hates" is the Carolina Panthers... Nobody, and I mean, NOBODY has any reason to hate on the Panthers. They don't have a true rival. There are not any historic contractual beefs or incidents with other NFC south teams.... They don't really rep a city. Shit, they don't even rep a state. Their team slogan is: "One team, two states" Carolina Panthers....
So, I am super excited to see what the Panthers continue to do... They are playing really good football, and not getting ANY coverage, because of their market... Meanwhile, they are leading the NFL in passing, and sitting at .500 in the worst division in football.... So, there should be plenty of hope in Charlotte, regardless of what Atlanta and NO are doing. Atlanta and NO were on the comeup last year, and we all had the same conversation about them last year, but in the end, Carolina prevailed and everyone else watched the playoffs from home. Hopefully that can happen again...
So, MLB baseball update....
So, since the O's didn't do shit this year, my go to move in the post season was to root against the Redsox and Yankees. Yankees smoked the Redsox in the wild card round, then got swept by Tampa... Thank you Tampa, BTW.....
So, the two evil empires are now out of the mix, so really, at this point, I am indifferent to who wins....
My Padres were hot, but hit a buzz saw in the Brewers. They are insanely good, and until I watched a 4 game series AGAINST them, I really didn't realize it... Now, that said, game one was one of the flukiest things I have ever seen.
9th inning, Padres are down 3-2. One out, man on first.... France hits a BOMB. Definite home run. This ball is SAILING. About 3/4 of the way through the outfield, the ball hits the roof inside the dome and bounces STRAIGHT DOWN to the warning track. Left fielder makes the catch. Instead of a homerun, it's an out. They stop the game for like 20 minutes to figure this out. The league gets involved. If this play is deemed a HR, which it was, the game is over and the Padres are going to win...
But the Brewer's house rule is that if a ball hits the dome over top of fair play, then the ball is still considered in play.... Which is fucking crazy. If a dome is built so low that a ball can hit it, the field should not be played on... I have never seen any shit like that...
And then in game 2, the Padres have a 1 run lead in the 9th. Put in the best closer in baseball. Dude can't even get a ball over the plate. Walks guys, then gives up a double and the game is over....
So, game 1 was stolen by a random act and a bogus rule... Fine... The second game, they shit the bed and let that game slip away... But last night, they suffered death by 1,000 paper cuts and the brewers were just getting balls in play. Some of it was unlucky. 2 outs and a linedrive almost takes the pitchers head off and he ducks, so instead of a double play out, they let a run score and the game got away from them....
Now, that leaves just one evil empire left. The Dodgers. I don't like the Dodgers, but they are hands down the best team in baseball and have the billion dollar payroll to prove it. So, I think the Dodgers are going to win it all again. But at this point, I don't care. I think if the Dodgers are that good, they deserve to win. And baseball is fluky. They best teams get eliminated ALL THE TIME. Every year. So if these guys are so fucking deep, that betts and Ohtani can just not even play well and they still dominate, I am not sure what to say.... The numbers don't lie and the Dodgers don't "Shit the bed" as it were. They will drop a game every now and again, but pound for pound, you aren't getting to their starters and you aren't making it through that lineup twice. It just is what it is....
So, moving forward, here is my list of who I would like to win...
1) Tampa. I have said since opening day this year that TB is legit. I watched a LOT of their games. They bunch. They pitch well. They play money ball and they play as a team. Small market. Hard not to root for... And they swept the Yankees.
2) Brewers: Same as above. They are a great team. Small city. Kicking everyone's asses.
3) Dodgers: Because hey, this is the only way that we are going to force a lockout early, and everyone in the MLB needs to come to grips with the fact that without a salary cap, the dodgers are going to continue to spend a billion a year and dominate baseball for a decade. So, we can all sit around and say, well, they won't do it again, until they do it again, and again. Just like the Yankees of the 1990s and early 2000s. Same fucking thing.....
So, it may or may NOT be good for the sport, but it is what it is. So until someone can buy a better team that LA, they are the team to beat.
Go RAYS! YEW! I caught most of the game last night, stoked if they can keep it going. Never finished the deal so odds are low but there's always a first!
So, this is awesome, funny and ironic. So, back in maybe the late 1990s or the early 2000s, we were playing the Yankees in the playoffs and a fan interfered and grabbed a ball out of the outfielders hand, deeming it a home run, and the orioles lost because of it. This was talked about in Baltimore for like 20 years. It was also against the Yankees.....
So, not sure if you saw this: But last night, the Yankees hit what was going to be a home run. The left fielder runs to the wall, jumps and has his glove right under the ball at the top of the wall. Two Yankees fans stick their hands out and intercept the ball before it clears the wall. From the forward angle, it looks CLEAR that it was going to be a homerun, and the outfielder wouldn't make the play. Now, from the side view, you can see that the fans arms extend out almost 2 feet past the wall and two feet over the outfielders glove. By the time the ball hits the fans hands, it's hard to tell if it would have been out or not. From the front angle, it was a home run. For sure. I think it was about 70/30 a home run from the side angle. Either way, a Yankees fan of all people. interfered with that play. So instead of NY tying it up at 4/4, they do the ground rule double thing, so runner advances to third and one run scores. They get the next two out, inning is over. And in the end, the Yankees lose. If that Yankees fan doesn't touch the ball, it's a home run and they tie. Instead, he lost the game for his own team... So fucking crazy. I know that seats are worth money and all that, but why on earth is there now protective area created between the front row and the wall. Make a 3-4 foot barrier so fans can't get to the fence. This happens too much. And this time, it sent the Yankees back to NY. I think it's fucking awesome. If I were a Yankees fan, I would track that idiot down...
Alright buoys. Weekend Sports Wrap up coming at you.
So, let's work backwards and start with the NFL....
Jacksonville/Philly in London: 9:30am... So, on this one, I happened to have a 6 pick parlay going. Part of the parlay was that jacksonville would score 2 field goals and Philly would score one... There are like 5 minutes left in the game, and there have been zero field goals. The other 4 things I picked already happened, so at this point, I am just watching, thinking of possible scenerios that this might happen. Not a chance I think....
So, to note: The Jag's long snapper was out with injury, so their center was snapping. I guess he was so bad at it, that they tried to avoid taking field goals. They were on 1st and goal from the 1 yard line with like 6 seconds left. Instead of kicking the chip shot, Trevor threw a shit ball and the clock ran out. They went for it on 4th down two more times in the second half and didn't convert....
So, with 5 minutes left, Jacksonville scores a FG. Okay.... Then Philly scores a FG... Okay..... There is only like 8 seconds left. Jacksonville is down by 2 point. There is no way that Philly kicks them the ball in bounds. There is also no way that these guys didn't see the Raven's game two weeks ago in Brazil, when the Cowgirls left them 7 seconds and they won the game....
Well, apparantly, Philly did NOT see the Ravens game. And they kicked a returnable kick. The Jags return it to Philly's 40 yard line, and they have one second left. It was actually 2, but I digress. Then, center has a good snap and the kicker drills a 55 yard walk off...
Philly: Bro. You guys suck. Coach needs to go.... This could NOT happen. Not like that man... Not like that....
Jets beat the browns.... Ugh....
Texans smoked the Titans: Good for you. Now you are 1-4...
Steelers beat up on the colts. It was a good, close game, but the Steelers pulled away and locked it up.
Patriots put belt to ass on the Raiders. They actually benched Kirk Cousins... Wow....
Vikings win again. They SHUT DOWN New Orleans. They had 50 passing yards in the entire game in the middle of the 4th.... Vikings D is insane. They Blitz 100% of the time and they can't be stopped.
Redskins/Giants: I think everyone involved. All coaches. Both teams, should just pack their shit, file into a bus and drive off a bridge. That was the most grossly mis-managed games I have ever seen. They deserved to tie.... I mean, the fact that Washington RAN OUT OF TIME and couldn't kick the field goal. I mean, you can't make this shit up. Philly was bad. This was worse... I mean, what the fuck yall?
49ers beat the Seahawks. Both good teams. I warned you buoys about the 49ers and reminded you they had the same record as the Seahawks last year, they just lost the tie breaker.
And now, to the game of the week:
Ravens @ Falcons:
So, no Lamar. We know this. Guard playing the center spot... Not good. But generally, most everyone else was good to go. So, I came into this game expecting a loss. Atlanta has been on fire. And Baltimore has been inconsistent, especially on defense....
So, most of the game was just ugly. Ugly ugly..... The 3rd and 4th quarters were trash for the most part, on both sides....
So, just a few minutes left, we are down by 8. On our own 10. We are fucked basically. We HAVE to score. And get a 2 point conversion, with out backup QB.....
But.... We do it.... We drive down. We score the TD and we go Henry in the wild cat and convert... Wow. Overtime... When just a few minutes ago, we were fucking toast...
And in OT, when Kyle said we will take the ball first, I had a glint of hope. I saw confidence... Okay, let's see...
Now, what happened in the OT period, was nothing short of perfection... I mean, there is nothing more I could ask in a drive than that. Perfect play calling. A healthy dose of King Henry just running you over. Quick passes to Andrews and Zay.... Just methodical. Moving the chains. Easily... Burning clock. It was a 7 minute fucking drive. It got to the point where Atlanta started calling time outs, because they were worried that we could eat up the entire 10 minutes and not let them get the ball. So, we pound it down. Score the TD. Extra point good..... So, they get the ball. 2 minutes left. Length of the field. you NEED a TD.... Not sure what happened with Penix, but he went out, Tua came in.... Tua converts one first down... Okay.... Okay... Next play, throws a ball right to Hamilton. Pick. Game over....
Wow... What a win. I was so proud of those guys last night. Backup QB. Didn't panic. Handled business....
Games like last night, and games like in Brazil against Dallas are the very games that the Ravens have been losing for 5 years. Those close finishes. Those weird ones. Much like when we lost to New Orleans this year: I could see them moving the ball with 5 minutes left. We couldn't stop them. I knew based on the field position and the clock, we aren't getting the ball back. And we didn't and we lost....
But the Dallas win, and now a HUGE moral victory against Atlanta really resets that and puts all that garbage about losing leads and late game mistake to rest.... We have a lot to clean up, but we won two games that we easily could have let slip away as we have in years past.....
So, that was a HUGE win. Hopefully Lamar will come back this week and we can go to Cleveland and rain on their fucking parade....
Even though Pittsburgh and Cincy won, the Ravens sit atop the division at 4-1, while Cleveland, Cincy and Pittsburgh all sit at 3-2....
Now, I don't believe that the Browns are a 3-2 team. Sure. But at this point, the AFC North is the most competitive division in the NFL. Crazy.
College Football Recap:
- Put a fork in Oregon. They are done. UCLA took them out. 2 losses now. They are #1 on my Fugazi list for 2026. Glad to see those phonies exposed so early. Now I don't have to hear a bunch of horse shit about these guys for the rest of the year. Every pundit on ESPN that talked up Oregon in the offseason should be fired. I am just some asshole, and I could see right through them for the past 2 years. Fucking idiots.
- LSU: Bye Bye. 2 losses. Kentucky took you out. Bye Bye Lane.... See you next year. LSU was NOT on my Fugazi list, but fuck them. I think we can all agree.
- Texas A&M: They were #2 on my Fugazi list of 2026. They came in ranked 8th? Now they are not in the top 25 and got SPANKED by Mizzou. Bye Bye Aggies.
- I have no beef with Florida.... But, I am a Gamecocks supporter, and South Carolina kicked ya'lls fucking asses. SC has no skin in the game anymore with 3 losses, but they SPANKED a top ranked Florida team. So while South Carolina's playoff hopes are gone, so are those for Florida.... Great game by SC.
- UNC beat #25 Pitt. UNC is good. No shock there. Pitt out.
- Boise narrowly beats Frenso State. Please remove Boise from the top 25. What are you doing?
- Penn State: 3 losses. Bye Bye. I have a bunch of friends that went there, but I just can't remove the whole "You guys molested young men and boys for decades in your locker room" kinda thing... I do feel bad for players and fans, but fuck you guys.... And fuck your program.... Jerry fucking Sandusky yall..... You can't speak the name Penn State without thinking of that... So, I am not upset that they are gone too.... See ya.
- Ohio State smoked Maryland. Good for you I guess.
- Games of the week:
Texas vs Oklahoma. I have been kinda supporting Texas, just because I don't hate them for any reason, but Oklahoma took them out. Texas is super inconsistent. And it shows. So, it appears that Texas should have never held that #1 ranking with the way they look this year, but that is a moot point now... They mighty have fallen.
Georgia/Alabama
Don't care about either team really, but I, like many, really didn't like the Saban.Bama years where they just dominated in the BCS every year. It was Bama and everyone else for years. And I live on the GA border, so I know a lot of GA fans. They are annoying, yes, but nothing like Bama fans. In the state of Alabama, there is only one thing that matters. Crimson Tide.... So, I understand their die hard nature, even if you can't understand a word they say..... But I think Georgia is a better modern program. They have been winning more recently, so I was glad to see GA take out Bama.... I know Bama fans were pissed. I watched the end of the game and today I read that bama fans are all mad at the refs and stuff about some call. I don't know what call it was, because I was watching and I didn't feel that any play slighted Bama in any way.
And the final note here is: I know BYU is 5-0... Do you people REALLY THINK THINK that BYU is going to step on the field and compete with Georgia, or Bama or Ohio State or Miami? GTFOH. I mean, seriously? The people making the rankings should be ashamed of themselves.
And of course, Notre Dame beats a high school roster-like Standford team by 50 points, and they move up to #2 in the nation? I mean, Notre Dame hasn't played a team YET!!!!
Just wait. I am telling you.... Notre Dame is the final piece in Zach's puzzle of teams that don't belong... Their time is coming.
Yeah DP: I was just telling my family over this weekend: Now that the Padre's are out of the playoffs, I have no rooting interest. The Yankees and the Redsox have been eliminated, so I can't even root/hate against them....
Only team remaining that I would root against is the Dodgers. I know everyone hates them, but to that I say: Every team in every market has the exact same opportunities that LA has. They just choose NOT to spend a billion dollars per year. If you want to buy championships, you have to PAY to play. No one is stopping ownership in Baltimore from spending. No one is stopping the Padres from spending. It is what it is. So if you hate the Dodgers, you gotta beat them, or at least play their game...
So, in a perfect world, I want to see Tampa Bay vs the Brewers. Now, that would be an absolute NIGHTMARE for MLB and I am SURE that they want it to be LA no matter what, probably against Cleveland..... Because of ratings, but outside the dodgers, you have 3 small market teams....
I am pissed that the Brewer's beat the Padres, because 2 of their wins were just fluky, luck kinda things, but that is baseball.... But the Brewers are likeable.
And I told my son: We have been to tons of Bananas games, but the only MLB game I have ever taken my entire family of 4 to, was the Tampa Game a couple year ago at the trop. My son still eats cereal out of a Rays Helmet bowl that I got him ice cream in... So I told the whole family, we are all in on Tampa for the rest of this... They all agreed....
I usually don't root for anyone within my own division, but Tampa is a lot like Baltimore, and we share the division with two of the shittiest fan bases and organizations on earth in the Yankees and Redsox, so I don't mind seeing Tampa have success....
If you go back to the beginning of the baseball season in the spring, I ended up watching like 6-7 Tampa games. Specifically their starting pitchers, because I was betting on them. And what I learned is that Tampa plays money ball. They bunt. They steal bases. They advance runners. The play insane defense. So, all it took was watching a string of games and seeing them do this over and over and think: Damn, that is a well run, well coached ball club that can consistently deliver the goods with these fundamentals....
Not flashy, but plenty effective.
Oh, and I take back my hater comment. Because the Indians are still in it. Or the guardians. And everyone from this area is from OHIO, so I know way to many clevelanders that live here and run their mouths about OSU, Browns and everything else.... So, I always wish nothing but failure on anything from Cleveland. "The Mistake By The Lake" as it were.
So, for all the bad raps and press that places like Baltimore gets, the one thing I will remind anyone from Ohio is: At least we aren't Cleveland..... We have beaches, surf, crabs and a coast line. You guys have gloom, rain and a nice view of Canada across the lake... Enjoy that, and enjoy losing in every sport...
About Texas vs Oklahoma... It's THE game. Not A game. Every time it happens, throw out all the rules and stats. I was totally away from TV this weekend, so I don't know how it played out. Texas might not lose another game til next year. Who knows? But... They lost to their most HATED rival across the border. I'm not sure you read too much more into it than that.
Lotta this round here lately...
And... Go Dawgs... 😏
And man.... What a fucking crazy week in the NFL. I am not sure if you buoys watched the game last night. I was rooting for the Rams, due to AFC implications with the Ravens/Bills. A Raven's fan should be rooting against Buffalo and KC every week.....
But that was like the 4th game this week that was just a, WTF moment? I mean, that was fucking nuts..... Josh Allen was just heaving bombs in the 4th quarter. Threw a terrible pick at one point, then on the next drive, does the same thing. Floats a 60 yarder across his body, right into the safety's hands. Luckily for the Bill's, he dropped it.....
But, let me say this: Am I the only one that didn't know that the Ram's kicker is a fucking defensive lineman looking dude? Guy is listed at 5'11", 250. But when he is walking around, he looks like he is like 6'4" and 325..... Dude is a brick shit house....
But then they start going over his stats. He is the most inconsistent kicker in the league. Career high 52. Longest this year: 48.... Dude missed a 48 yarder in the first half..... You could see the stress on this guys eyes in the OT period. During a timeout, he was out at the 50, looking at the uprights, practicing the kicks. I guess guys just don't do that.... And then, this poor guy's worst fears come to fruition and the kick gets blocked. I mean, you can't make this shit up.....
So, you have the fucking Jags with no long snapper. They go for it on 4th 3 times and blow it every time, because they didn't trust special teams to make a chip shot... Then in the ultimate ironic ending, he drains a 55 yarder to win the game..... I had the Jags kicker in a Parlay, and I had no idea going into it that they didn't have a long snapper. I wanted the Jags to lose just because of how many times they avoided field goals. This game was a complete shit show with a crazy ending....
Then you have the fucking Redkins Giants game, where then entire Washington sideline blew 30 seconds, didn't spike it, didn't have a time out and ultimately ran out of time instead of kicking the 30 yard chip shot field goal.... Craziest ending ever. Most poorly coached game in NFL history....
Then, you have the fucking Ravens/Falcons game, where the Ravens are stuck with a 4% chance to win with 3 minutes left, only to score, go for 2 and make it, then just ram King Henry down their throat in extra time.... Crazy one.
Then you have last night.... I mean, the Rams have the game won.... And they get the fucking field goal blocked..... And the Bills walk out with a win. The look on Josh Allen's face was priceless. Like, how on earth did we win that game?????
But back to the Rams... And I am not even fucking around here. I am 46 years old. You could pull me off my couch tomorrow, give me a week of reps and I will go out there and bang out some 48 yard field goals. No problem.
So, the NFL is telling me that: With like 100,000,000 people on earth that play soccer, with 10s of millions of people being INCREIBLY good at kicking, that you can't just find a guy to kick the fucking ball through the uprights? I don't buy it... You trot some 250 llinebacker out there. He is stressed as fuck. Looks like he has never kicked a ball. Looks like this is the last place on earth he wants to be.... You are telling me that you can't find ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD to kick a ball? I just don't understand...
And then the Jags and their long snapper? This guy fired like 5 balls too high. I mean, yeah, you are a backup. This is your fucking job. You had an entire week of practice and you can't figure out how to snap a ball backwards 7 yards? I mean, what in the actual fuck are you people talking about.... If you cannot get the ball 7 yards to your kicker and you have to adjust your entire game plan to accommodate this fact, you, as an organization, suck. Straight up. Figure it out you fucking morons. You don't have a fucking guy on the practice squad that can snap the ball?
I mean, is that a thing? Can we just go out and train as long snappers now? And all get jobs, because it's that niche and that fucking difficult. Nope. Not buying it. You have 53 active guys, and not one of them can snap a ball. Fuck off.
I hate to say it, cause I think he's a good dude, and deserves to coach football, but it's time to fire coach Novell. How do you go for it on 4th and goal when you're up 14-0 and could go up 17-0 with a chip shot field goal that a child could make. I hate the go it for on 4th down mentality, until it's absolutely necessary to stay in the game and try to tie it, but if you are UP 14 points, percentage wise and football IQ says take your points, don't get greedy, lest you are punished with a tide changing turnover.
Got stuffed on 4th, turnover on downs, gives up two TD's in less than a minute, and just like that, the lead they could have padded has now vanished, all momentum now in Louisville's hands, and they just continued to make us pay for that ROOKIE mistake. I told my wife, if you play Madden or NCAA football on Playstation or w/e, and you go for it on 4th and goal with a 14-0 lead, the computer WILL punish you and make you pay, almost every time, in some way, it will come back to bite you. It's programmed that way because anybody who knows football knows that's not the time to go for it on 4th. But that's just like my opinion and stuff. 😎
Oh, and my Raiders got smacked around by the Patriots on the road, 45-17, time to regroup.
yea, i mentioned to my buddy at FSU why they would release their stud cornerback the week before Miami. I know they got rid of another dude the week before, maybe a running back... And their qb has like 9 TDs to 8 INTs. Doesn't seem like it's getting better, and heard some ppl saying Norvell can't control his kids. Then again, neither can UGA with all their recklessly speeding drivers. Anyways, my buddy just replied with the van kicking a guy out gif. Maybe it's not the wildest news over there and they got used to it
